Sorry for the looooooooooooooooooooong delay...but after a few hints i guess it is time to get back on the proverbial horse. So i guess ill start with the big news first, some of you may or may not know but....The Red Sox won the world series....although that is true, even more important and bigger news is that the Q and I got engaged a while back...actually a little over a month ago. So i know what your thinking....the excuse i didnt have anything to blog about goes out the window. We have set a date for labor day weekend of 2009...yes 2009 we have our reasons so for those who want to bitch, stick it!

So since play off tickets for the Sahx was your first two born children, we decided to hook up with a few of Quinn's friends from work and go watch game three of the world series at a sports bar near beantown. Truth be told i spent most of the time squinting across the bar to watch the buckeyes beat the shit out of the nittney lions...they only had the football game on one 27in tv in the entire bar. But after some laughs and a few cheers and some close minded baseball conversation, it was time to hit the old dusty trail back home...WARNING...if you have a weak stomach you might wish to turn away. Throughout the evening we had a couple sango's and a bowl of chowda and 6 pitchers of beer...yes we still got it. Now in ohio...or better yet bobs the 6 pitchers even if you paid full price for all of them, would have been 30 bones...not that bad. Now i know i wasnt at bob's, so i was expecting the beer to be a bit more pricy, but after all was said and done and the server slipped the tab on the table i turned it over and saw...........$$$102.98 oh and by the way we were drinking rocky mountain spring water (coors light).

Now i wasnt trying to deter anyone from coming to visit we have a few places here that are a little more friendly on the pocketbook, but sadly looking back it was worth the money just to see the atmosphere and actually see what winning a world series looks like. On a side note, i was giving everyone i work with shit when the tribe was up 3-1 and i was wishing the tribe well. Wait till next year i suppose.

Can the Big Ten (11) Salvage a mediocre season?

I know its just the third week of the college football season, but every game does matter. I was commenting on The Palumbo Rankings and i started to rant...what a better place to rant than here? Every year around bowl season, you see the big 10 getting 5 or 6 teams into a bowl and a couple into major bowls as well. Now i am not the biggest buckeye fan on the planet, who am i kidding im a tressel guy...i grew up in Y town when he was kicking marshalls ass. But after seeing how the start of this season has gone, the big ten looks rather dismal. Not to dump on Michigan but they did lose to App. St. now i know any given saturday anything can happen, but preseason #5 and potential threat for the national title, losing to a Championship level school, previously Div I AA. Granted App St. has won the last couple I AA titles(easier on the fingers) and they do have some talented players...but come on. Then after that embarassment the mighty ducks of oregon march into The Big House and kicked their ass, nuff said. Now that leaves the other top teams...Penn St. Wisc. and Ohio St, Thankfully they have dodged the app. st. bullet, but can they keep it up the entire year? OSU beat YSU and Akron, before stepping up their play against washington, so hopefully they are starting to come together, but only scoring 20 points against the zips isnt that impressive, granted all they need was a field goal to win. Michigan got of the schnide by stomping a very very young and bad Notre Dame team. So hopefully Michigan has turned it around and they can salvage their season. As for the other teams of the big ten....Minnesotta losing to Florida International and Northwestern losing to Duke, that doesnt look good for the conference. Enough of that...as i mentioned earlier...Notre Dame...

ND is absolutly horrific this year, i know they are young and have a freshman QB, who at times has shown signs that he will be a good player for them. But my question is who the hell has Mr. Weiss recruited for ND besides Jimmy Clausen? All of Willingham's boys are virtually gone and Weiss's golden boy has moved on to oranger pastures. What will Weiss do know? my suggestion is lyposuction for starters, then he should get some of the film students to film the other teams practices to give them a fighting chance.

Moving onto sunday, the Clowns bounced back from a whoopin last week to put up more points than the Cavs did in the NBA Finals. But in watching parts of that scoring fiesta one has to ask...How bad is Cinci this year? Marvin Lewis is supposed to be a defensive genius, if he is a genius then he makes forrest gump look like einstein. The past couple of years the AFC North has been a very strong divison, but this year it is hard to say so far...The browns and bungles have their own problems..they cant stop a nose bleed right now. The ravens, defense is their only/best offense on the upside atleast boyler threw a pass that heap could actually catch. The Steelers on the other hand have looked good the past two weeks, defensively very effective and offensively they have shown some bright spots, but they have played no body yet, so the verdict is still out on Big Ben chucking it up 30+ times a game.

As for video boy in NE, whether they had signals or not, they made the Chargers look like static electricty, not a lightning bolt. The Pats came out and smacked them in the mouth and didnt back down, barring injuries they pats will be very very hard to beat this year....Dolphin fans beware.

It's in the town of Marlboro(alternate spelling Marlborough, damn brits). What is it with me living in towns thats have the same name as cigarettes? First born and raised in Campbell(Pronounced Camel, dont go there) and now Marlboro. Anywho, so back to the job...it took me a while, but i found one, in that amount of time i could have probably found hoffa.

I start monday and its a pretty sweet deal, bennies, 401k, profit sharing, you name it. So if you need some new threads, take drive to boston and ill get you all hooked up.

We didnt land on plymouth rock....(SOAPBOX WARNING!!!!)

Sorry for the long delay...Today being 9/11, 6 years to the day from 2001, when the attacks happened. I figured id pull out my soapbox and voice my opinion on the matter. (WARNING: Conspiracy/Outside the box thinking to follow, if 9/11 is a sensitive subject to you please dont read on. But if you like to look at things from a different angle please feel free to read on.) And yes i know this is my opinion, and they are like assholes....everybody has one.

Like many of you, i can tell you exactly where i was and what i was doing when i saw those plan smash into the twin towers. I was devestated and couldnt believe my eyes, but while watching those days events something just wasnt adding up right. We live in the United States of America, We have the strongest military in the world, We have special ops all over the world, and god knows big brother is watching every move made. So i pose this question, with all of the advancements in technology and all the money we pay as tax payers for protection from our military, how in gods name did this happen? My answers again are just my opinion, gathered from data and articles that i have read on this subject over the past year or so, so with out further ado.

First off a little bit of History how governments have used Fear as a tool to motivate others into action. Before WW2 and before Hitler came to power, he used a series of events to help him begin is rise to power, the most common was the Reichstag Fire at the german parliment building, when authorities arrived the found Marinus Van Der Lubbe inside the building, Holding a gas can and match so to speak, he was a dutchman, who was mentally challenged mind you, the entire event was blamed on him and 4000 other commies. Thus giving hitler the power to recommend a solution to the german government, strikingly similar to our patriot act. In the 1960's when cuba was just getting to get under the administrations skin, they devised a plan to handle them as well. The devised a plan called Operation Northwoods, briefly, it was a plan to stage a terrorist attack on miami and blame cuba, giving us cause to go and over throw Castro. Dare i say deja vu...thankfully JFK was a good hearted american and denied the order...we all know how that story ends. Oh and how can we forget pearl harbor? We cannot, but again, it was another attack on america to help convince the people that we should enter into another war. Pearl Harbor, was as devistating attack on our country and our military, but sadly i think there was prior knowledge as well...Why would the Japs want to wake a sleeping giant and do something to get them to enter a war? Thats about as smart as a featherweight going up to mike tyson and trying to kick him in the balls(before he went nuts). Now i could go on for a long time and go back probably as far as time, to find ways that people in power have done things to decieve their people to get them to agree with their actions.

6 years ago today, our airforce was doing special training ops, to help defend this country in the time of a foreign attack, the operation was known as Vigilant Guardian. The planes that were normally minutes away from the white house were flown away from their base to take part in this exercise....im all about practice and i want our boys to be trained the best they can. But dont you find it a bit fishy, that for that morning the country was virtually defenseless were it matters most...our capital. Oh and our wonderful people at FEMA, you know they guys that did such a great job after hurricane Katrina, were stationed outside of Manhatten on monday, they were doing a bit of training on their own...they were preparing how to handle a chemical attack on new york....how convienient. All while your fearless leader was hundreds of miles away in florida, way out of harms way.

So now i ask....How do guys living in mountains with very primative technology get all of that information that the country would be so vulnerable? Or did a little birdy tip them off and let them know about the military manuvers for that day? But anyway, why would the administration want to harm innocent people? Try this on for size...around 2000, there was an article written by a group of men, titled rebuilding america's defenses. In this article, it calls for a catastrophic event like a new pearl harbor, to help motivate the people into action. What was 9/11 likened too.....you guessed it, Pearl Harbor. Oh and some of the members of that committe were, VP Dick Chaney, Donald (Rummy) Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfiwitz amoung other members of high society. Chaney will shoot his best friend in the face....do you think he really cares about

us? How ironic that this article would make nostradamus blush.

What is to gain from all of this? Well, dubya, gets to finish what his daddy started 10 years ago and eliminate the deadly nuclear threat that is Iraq, i guess im just thankful that we did find all those WMD's over there.....oh wait, thats North Korea. So 6 years later we are still in iraq, still looking for those WMD's. While 1000's of soliders and hundresds and thousands of innocent people died in Iraq and the events leading up to the invasion. Halliburton, moved its HQ to Dubai and is getting most of the bids to rebuild much of the middle east that we destroyed...At least the government is lookng out for someone...there own....VP Chaney was a former executive for Haliburton.

Oh and i find this rather amusing, that the United States if affraid of something that they built....Al Qaeda. American funded in the 80's to help them defend themselves from Russia, so not only did we give them arms, but we gave them training as well...Very similar what we did to Iraq around that same time....we helped build their arms as well...Not to long ago Saddam was almost an ally of the US. Dont get me wrong im not agree with any of the things that Saddam did to his people, he was a prick....But iraq is more of a threat now to the US than it ever was.

But back to the day at hand, after all the smoke and dust clears, 4 thousand innocent americans are killed in a vicious attack. So how did we determine who the hijackers actually where? They werent on any of the seating lists for the planes, ok maybe the used aliases, probably smith or murphy. Oh but how they found the real names was rather amazing actually...a marvel in modern forensics....After all that smoke and rubble and of course the hot burning jet fuel that melted the beams and caused the buildings to collapse, they found passports of some of the hijackers in the debris....incredible that they made it out of that burning inferno. The steel structure to the WTC couldnt with stand heat up to 850* C ...by the way steel melts at around 1500* C and Iron melts around 1535* C, but yet a few pieces of paper can make it out unharmed. Also, the alleged hijackers who flew the planes, where confirmed by US flight school to be horrible pilots, they couldnt fly a cesna, but they can do hair pin turns and handle a plan that is hundreds of times bigger than that....again still not adding up in my mind.

There are still way to many unanswered questions that probably will never be answered in regards to this tragic event. Please my friends, do not get the impression that i think the government pulled off this event completely, i have a strong belief that they knew it was going to happen, there are too many coincidences on that day...For instance, the Mayor of San Francisco was supposed to be in New York on 9/11, but he got a phone call the night before telling him not to go....an act of god maybe? Just one of many quirks of that day. Not to mention the multi billion dollar insurance policy that was signed by Larry Silverstien to protect his investment, oh and it had a terrorism clause in it....For those that dont know who Larry is, he was the lease holder for WTC 7, he received over 5 billion dollars from those attacks.

So thats enough for my soapbox rant...im getting tired of typing. For those of you who have read all the way thru this, again i ask you to keep an open mind, i am not trying to change what happened or how it has effected your life. Also i am not trying to convince you to my way of thinking, sometimes it is nice to learn the other parts of the story as well. For all of those who did lose a loved one on 9/11 my thoughts and prayers are always with you. God Bless America and We will never forget!!!

Sorry for the delay....

I know its been awhile since my last post, roughly 22 days not that im counting. Just wanted to throw a little bit of an update out there... The job search is in progress with several interviews and a couple seconds, nothing has landed so far. What makes it a bit more frustrating is that our temporary housing is finished at the end of the month of september. Now some of you might say well you have plenty of time to get something lined up, i would agree....but we need to put down an ass load of money on an apartment before we can move in. So you see the dilemma now, no jobby no cashy. If i was a totally scumbag id solicitate money thru my blog...but i would never do that....any donations would be wonderful :) lol j/k if anyone sends me a dime ill be pissed. So we are going into crunch time, which is just shy of crisis mode and we dont wanna go there. To hopefully expedite this process I spoke with a

recruiter yesterday so hopefully this will lead to good things. Other than the job search, life has been pretty good, finally learning my way around the waltham area, oh and they still cant drive up here, i actually have life long bostonains testimonials on this. The Q ball is doing well, she is finishing up the first phase of her job training this friday and she will start the on the job stuff next week.

On a side note, i actually stepped into a fitness facility recently, i must say that i knew i was out of shape but it was a matter of how out of shape i was. Lets just say its a good thing i didnt have a job....i was laid up for a couple days, but got back on the horse and have proceeded to go a few other times since then. the goal is to be able to afford a gym membership, so that way i am not a complete fat ass and i can lose my membership to the dick'e'do club...dont ask, i saw it on a t-shirt.

Right turn clyde...

So one of the things i have noticed while being in New England, these bastads dont know how to drive, AT ALL! During the rainstorm on the drive up i took for granted as it might not rain that much up here, its New England, they have an ocean view, so i know it has to rain. Plus it has rained about 50% of the time we have been here, so get used to it already. But enough about poor rain driving, they just cant drive in general. I think i have found how gm and ford are cutting corners besides laying off jobs, they are not putting turn signals into the cars that they sell in NE. Oh and do not i repeat do not obey a stop sign, if you do be prepared for a lound HONK! Worse off they just pull out in traffic and expect you to stop so that they can pull out of a parking lot, WTF! I think i might have to buy a snowplow ths winter and show these morons how i really feel. So besides the horrific driving abilities and the lack of street signs, New England isnt all that bad. Good food and damn good beer, now all i need to do is find a J.O.B. and i will be all set.

A side note, i forgot how to check my responses for my blog and when i figured it all out i was shocked to see that a few people actually read it...Thanks fella's.

NFL Notwork...

So last night at dinner, i had this great rant in mind for the blog...sadly a few margarita's later and that idea vanished like cupcakes at fat camp. So after racking my mind to figure out what the hell was grinding my gears, i threw in the towel. Lucky for me I became excited for a preseason football game...i know i know, its preseason. But this game will officially begin the Mike Tomlin Era in the Steel City, so i just wanted to watch the game to give my professional opinion and to give this blog a wee bit more substance. Well then i found out the game was on the NFL Notwork, i was about to jump off a bridge. For those who do not know the nfl notwork used to be carried by the cable networks when you bought the digital packages, but since no one ever watched it, they thought it would be a great idea to make it a premium channel, like hbo or skinimax. Who ever thought of that idea....The Comish, Roger G. is a moron, no one watched it then and no one will pay to watch it. So here i sit with my hopes higher than Dave Chappelle in Half Baked, only to find out that i wont be able to watch a single snap. For some reason the nfl notwork picks up certain games thru out the year, i think they threw in another game on thanksgiving last year and now the hall of fame game. What else will they do in the future...pay per view for the superbowl? So looks like ill be watching the high lights of the 3rd and 4th stringers on ESPN, the total sports network....Thanks William Rasmusen (sorry for butchering the name) He founded ESPN and is a Lambda Chi to boot.

Directions please!!!

So as you know i usually have a good sense of direction and can find my way around....We'll that has all changed :) i feel like im in the bermuda triangle, up is down and down is up and i dont know what direction im going. But the good thing is that i am learning that every city names their streets all the same and that they do not believe in street signs. Oh the good thing is that i am getting to see this beautiful town. But the finally kick in the pills was when i got wise and decided to use the map i bought.....sadly the city i was driving around in wasnt on the DAMN MAP!!!!! But that sense of direction came into play i actually found my way back to where i was heading and got back on track, so i guess i still got it.

The good news is that i have my first interview today, hopefully i can find the joint :)

The Triumphant Return...To blog or not to blog

Sorry for the loooong delay, roughly two months if your scoring at home. To be honest i have consulted my blogging mentor and we discussed whether or not i could/wanted to continue to blog. For a while there i was about 99% sure that i would never blog again, it just was not for me, plus i cannot spell very well :) But i must say that the recent move to boston has inspired me to give it one more go. Since there will be new experiences, trials and tribulations going on in my life that this could be the chance to get this blog off of life support and get it up and kicking again.

So after 12 hours in a car, we finally arrived in Mass. and for some strange reason i thought we were in phoenix....it started to rain and no one up here new how to drive a car...WTF? Its New England!!!! Anyway, moving on, of course your first night in a new city there are several things you need to locate first: 1. your apartment, check 2. grocery store, check 3. liquior store, check (listed by priority not importance) For those of my many millions of readers who know that i love a good pint of beer or bottle for that matter, i see this as a great opportunity to indulge in some of New Englands finest microbrews. Last night i enjoyed a six of SmuttyNose Summer Weizen Ale. It did get better with time, then again so does Shlitz, it was a little hoppy at first, but after the first two the next four went down like gang busters, so with that ill give it 6.5 (out of 10). The .5 is for the picture on the front of the label, it is right out of what looks like the 50's, it is someones mom on a raft in a pool, and below the picture it says "C'mon in, the water is nice". When i get a digital camara i will drink another six and repost the label i promise. Till next time....Gaaarrr

Sorry for the delay....

Picking up where i left off on Saturday, so the Q got me tix to go see george for christmas. We drove down to Columbus to catch dinner and a beer or two before the show. But it got ugly quick, the second i parked the car i came to the sad realization that my keyless entry decided to crap out on me. Solution...use the key, but if you dont have a key? Leave the car unlocked in downtown columbus for oh 6 or 7 hours, sounds like a good idea to me. So i sucked it up and said screw it, if they want it they can take it....inside praying for a snow storm if someone did steal it( my heat doesnt work....at all). So we went to dinner at the Elevator Brewery and i must say they had some stellar brew and damn good eats if i must say so. But the most amazing thing was the service, we told the server we were in a hurry, i think it took a total of 10 minutes for them to serve the entire course, salads, app, you name it, so kudos for that.

After dinner we walked by my car, i figured a few minutes in a bar would somehow recharge my keyless entry, i was way off on that one, so off to the show we go. Side note, if you have never been to Columbus Civic theatre, give it a try, it's very beautiful. We had great seats, center balcony, right on the aisle to boot. Now i have been a george carlin fan for many years, hence my language, i own all of his books and have seen many of his hbo specials. Georgie walks out on stage with a notebook and some loose sheets of paper. He announces that he is working on new material for his next hbo special, he just turned 70 so he now calls himself an "old fuck". George was his edgy old self, with the exception of him crossing a couple lines during the show i give it 3 3/4 stars out of 5. Those lines that he crossed were not hairlines either, they were more like gorges, but i guess thats his way to stay up with the times. So after the show, i made the not so long dreadful walk back to the taurus, with fingers crossed that it was still there....and sure enough out of the corner of my eye there she was, i was able to tell by the two toned bumper that i had installed almost a year ago. Stay tuned...

And down the stretch they come...

The 132nd running of the preakness and the one year anniversary of Barbaro. Going back to this race last year when Barbaro went down, i clearly remember seeing the look on his owners faces....Agony to say the least, but what i noticed most was the look on thier kids faces. They had a look of sadness as any child would in that scenario. But the best part is when the one kid tried to hug his mom and she pushed him away. Now in her mind im sure it made sense, because she could get millions upon millions of dollars putting that horse out to stud. And all those brats would give her was dept in the form of college student loans, so the choice was simple. I guess my question is are they getting any royalties from Alpo. Oh and also on this date a year ago, i passed on going to see pearljam, i decided to get loaded instead.

Okay, so now that i have secured my place in hell, im going to see George Carlin tonight. As if going to hell wasnt bad enough i have to go see GC tonight to ensure i get a front row seat, review of the show to follow.

Hello to all in blogger land

Well, where shall I being? This is my first post in bloggerland and I guess this is just a testament to how boring my day job can be. Dont get me wrong, i love reading other peoples blogs, but i just never fathomed the idea that id be wasting my day away bitching and moaning, gloating and boasting about the things that make my life mine. But what the hell, Im here so carpe diem.

So as I am trying to pass the time, i often browse the news on yahoo. And what do you know a group of deep sea divers have discovered what could possibly be the richest treasure to date....garrrr! 17tons of the stuff, not to shabby, im sure the goonies would be proud, that would by lots of rocky road icecream. I guess the significance of this story is that if you have ever seen dodgeball, you will notice a striking resemblence between myself and steve "the pirate". So it looks like someone found the treasure that steve was in search of, as for me i still have to keep the day job.
